To celebrate International Children’s Day and bring warmth and care to children from special groups, Wuji County hosted the 2025 “Love Supports Education, Building a Better Future Together” donation and support event on the morning of May 30 at the Wuji County Special Education School. The initiative was jointly organized by the Wuji County People’s Congress, the County Red Cross Society, the County Federation of Trade Unions, the County Disabled Persons’ Federation, and the County Education Bureau. Through heartfelt visits and targeted donations, the event delivered both holiday wishes and tangible support to the children.
The donation ceremony was hosted by Xu Bin, Party Secretary and Director of the Wuji County Education Bureau. A speech was given by Liu Yunzhi, Deputy County Mayor. Other attending officials included Li Jianqian, Director of the County People’s Congress; Niu Yintong, Deputy Director; Li Huipo, Chairman of Hebei Beiji Industrial Group Co., Ltd.; Qin Libin, Vice Chairman; Zhang Xiaoya, Executive Vice President of the County Red Cross Society; Zhang Jingqing, Chairman of the County Disabled Persons’ Federation; and Meng Qiang, Director of the Education Bureau’s Payment Center. Students receiving aid, their teachers and families, as well as educators from various schools also took part in the event.
The event was filled with warmth. Hebei Beiji Industrial Group Co., Ltd. actively fulfilled its social responsibility by donating a total of ¥105,000 in cash and supplies. Specifically, the company awarded ¥48,000 in scholarships to 20 students from low-income families, and donated 20 sets of down jackets and T-shirts (worth ¥10,000). In addition, it contributed 74 sets of down jackets and T-shirts (worth ¥37,000) to all students at the special education school, along with rice, noodles, cooking oil, and other daily necessities valued at ¥10,000. The Wuji County Red Cross Society also contributed by donating 70 pairs of athletic shoes and 100 boxes of pain relief gel to support the children’s health and well-being.
Niu Yintong, deputy director of the county people's congress, highly praised the significance of this event. He pointed out that children are the future of the motherland and the hope of the nation, carrying the expectations of the family and the sustenance of the society, and extended his sincere greetings and heartfelt thanks to all the caring people, co-organizers and educators who participated in this event.
Li Huipo, chairman of Hebei Beiji Industrial Group Co., Ltd., expressed the group's concern for education and care for special children in his speech. He said that it is the responsibility of the enterprise to help education and give back to the society. Beiji Group will continue to pay attention to the development of Wuji County's education, especially the needs of special children, and hope that this donation will bring practical help and warm encouragement to the children's study and life.
A formal donation acknowledgment ceremony followed, recognizing Hebei Beiji Industrial Group’s charitable contributions. Student representatives expressed their sincere gratitude through touching speeches, pledging to study diligently and live up to expectations.
The event concluded with a group photo capturing the love and hope shared that day. After the ceremony, the aided students visited Hebei Beiji Industrial Group’s garment factory, where they observed modern production processes up close and shared a meal together with company staff.
This “June 1” donation event not only delivered material assistance to underprivileged and special education students, but also shared spiritual encouragement and the warmth of a caring society. Through real action, the event brought to life the theme of “Love Supports Education, Building a Better Future Together,” and contributed to a community atmosphere that values the healthy growth and development of children.
